Guest Information


A deposit, including a non-refundable booking fee of $33.00 is required no later than 48 hours of making your booking in order to secure the booking. The balance must be paid prior to your stay.  Payments can be made via our website with a valid credit card.

After your deposit is processed you will receive an automatically generated email giving you confirmation of your booking and the balance remaining.

Your card details are kept secure using SSL* and PCI* compliance through YesBookitSSL is a transaction security standard developed to enable secure, encrypted transactions to take place over the Internet. Your fully encrypted card details will be passed on to the Ford & Dougherty Property MIGS payment gateway and ARE NOT stored on this server. The PCI Security Standard was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa Inc.


A security bond of $200.00 is required for all properties. If you pay by credit card we will retain your details in case of a bond claim. Alternatively you are asked to transfer the bond amount into our Real Estate Trust Account. The bond will be returned to you as soon as possible after your booking is finalised and after we have checked that there is no bond claim. The bond must be arranged in advance to ensure payment is received prior to your arrival.

The security bond relates to but is not limited to; damage, missing items, late departure, noise complaint call-outs, lost/damaged key call-outs, additional cleaning etc.


Occupation commences from 2pm on the day of arrival and the premises must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure. Failure to depart by 10am will result in a bond claim, including the resulting costs incurred by any third party.

 Guests can request early check-in or late check-out, approval is subject to the booking not being a changeover booking and approval by the cleaner. Fee for early check-in or late check-out is $50.00. This is a non-refundable fee.


If you are arriving outside of office hours, please contact our office at least 48 hours prior to your arrival to ensure access to the property.

Call-outs for lost/broken keys and/or remotes will be charged at $55.00 per call-out. All guests are responsible for the care and return of keys and are liable for the cost of replacement of keys and/or garage remotes.


A cancellation fee of $100.00 will apply under ANY and ALL circumstances. If a booking is cancelled within the seven days prior to the arrival date, 50% of the TOTAL amount due for the stay will be required.


Refunds due for any reason will be transferred into your nominated bank account within 48hrs.


All holiday accommodation must only be used for private, residential usage. No functions or parties are to be conducted at the property without prior consent of the agent. The number of guests must not exceed the number of persons quoted at the time of booking. Exceeding the number of guests stated may result in termination of the guests booking, with immediate vacancy required.


All properties are leased with the understanding that the guest will treat them as their own home. Please leave the property in the same condition as it was granted to you. If a dishwasher is provided, please ensure it is turned on prior to your departure. If the property you are staying in does not have a dishwasher, please wash, dry and put away all dishes you have used. It is expected that if you have used the BBQ, it is left in a clean state. If required, excess cleaning charges of $35 per hour will be deducted from your security bond.


Unless specifically stated ‘pet friendly’ none of the properties at For A Short Time allow pets either on the grounds, nor inside the holiday accommodation.  If you are found to be keeping a pet at your holiday accommodation your stay will be terminated and extra cleaning charges will apply. If a property is listed as “pet friendly” this does not mean that it is fenced. Please check that the property matches your requirements. If it is fenced, it does not mean that it will keep your pet inside the fence - all pets are different and have different requirements.


All properties have a no smoking policy inside the premises. Smoking is permitted outside and all butts/debris must be disposed of in the rubbish bin.


Whilst you are in occupation, you are fully responsible for all breakages and damage caused to the property, its furniture, fittings or any consequent loss or suffering by the property owner or agent. Any such breakages or damages must be reported IMMEDIATELY to the agent and either replaced to the satisfaction of the Agent or paid for prior to departure.


The agent has sole discretion to cancel your booking in the event your behaviour or actions compromise the safety and/or quiet enjoyment of neighbouring properties. Immediate termination may apply in the event of unnecessary or excessive noise, nuisance or disturbance caused to neighbouring properties during your occupancy. Guests are fully responsible and liable for payment of all charges incurred, irrespective of such cancellation, together with any financial loss incurred by the property owner and/or agent and can be debited to your credit card without further notice.


Please remember to take all of your personal belongings with you upon departure. The agent holds no responsibility for any personal possessions left after your departure.


Every effort is made to ensure the property is described and portrayed as accurately as possible. No responsibility is accepted for any error or misrepresentation and no refunds will be given.


The Agent and Property owner will not be held responsible nor liable for:

•  Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guest whatsoever or howsoever caused as a result of insects or wildlife in or around the holiday accommodation site. All occupants are to take specific care at all times within this rural area and requested not to approach such wildlife under any circumstance.

•  Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guest whatsoever or howsoever caused whilst in occupancy of the holiday accommodation due to failure to comply with the Terms and Conditions.

•  Any injury or loss suffered by the occupants, their invitees or guest whatsoever or howsoever caused due to negligence on my/our/their part.

•  Any noise, disturbance or inconvenience caused as a result of renovations/building/road works being carried out in or near the vicinity of the holiday accommodation

•  The standard of any privately owned holiday accommodation furnishings and fittings.
